The mission of the British Columbia Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) Foundation is to raise funds for schizophrenia research in BC and to support the programs and services offered by the BC Schizophrenia Society. Through its support, the BCSS Foundation hopes to fulfil the mission of BCSS to improve the quality of life for those affected by schizophrenia and psychosis.
The Foundation was officially founded in November 2004 as the Dr. Norma Calder Foundation. It was later renamed the MIND Foundation before becoming the BC Schizophrenia Society Foundation in 2013. The BCSS Foundation is governed by a group of community volunteers.
