Ways to Give

Funds raised by the BC Schizophrenia Society Foundation go towards supporting BC Schizophrenia Society programs and services—helping families get the resources and support they need, when they need it.

British Columbia Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 by families and friends of people with schizophrenia. Since then, BCSS has grown into a province-wide organization providing families with support, information, and education. As an organization, BCSS is dedicated to helping families support each other, educating the public, raising funds for research, and advocating for better services for people with schizophrenia and other serious and persistent mental illness.

There are many ways you can make a difference and help provide families with “a reason to hope and the means to cope.”

Catherine briefly talks about how your donation makes a difference in the lives of those living with schizophrenia.

Make a Gift

Your gifts can help provide life-saving support and education that makes a difference in the lives of families across BC.

Build Hope Today

By becoming a monthly donor, your gift helps ensure that programs and services can continue to be there day after day to support and respond to families in need.

Walk for BCSS

Annually, BCSS gathers a team of walkers and runners to participate in the BMO RUN4HOPE, a fundraiser that both raises much needed funds and awareness for those impacted by schizophrenia and other serious mental illness.

Organize an Event

Have a great fundraising idea but don’t know where to start? BCSS is here to support you! By creating a fun and rewarding event or dedicating the proceeds of an existing event to BC Schizophrenia Society Foundation, you can help change lives.

Create A Tribute

To honour a loved one impacted by schizophrenia, families can create a tribute in their family member’s name—to celebrate their memory or their achievements

Create a Better Tomorrow Today with a Legacy Gift
